About the Artist
Picture : Hand-Painted chevette Driven in Houston Art Car Parade As a self-taught artist I have been creating and exhibiting artwork nationally for 20 years. Most of the artwork I create is original hand-drawn and hand-designed pen and inks or collages. It is all mathematical and geometrical in nature and includes fractals, perspective drawings and more. None of it is computer generated. My inspiration comes from my interest in geometry and mathematics. I enjoy geometry and creating geometric artwork because it gives me a sense of symmetry, balance and order, in an unsymmetrical, unbalanced and out of order world. Above is a picture of me a few years ago driving my hand-painted Chevette in the Houston Art Car Parade. Robert Carden
